In the latest entry of our RuPaul Interview Sessions, we discuss the Burlesque-themed promo for RuPaul’s Drag Race 3 (premiering tonight on Logo at 10/9c, and repeating Tuesday on VH1 at 9/8c), as well as the state of Christina Aguilera’s career. As for the diva’s reported recent “unsavory” behavior, Ru’s all for it: “I love a beautiful mess — it gives me something to relate to.” Amen to that. Ru and I also discuss the general appreciation for a celebrity, flaws and all.
Somewhere along the line, Liza Minnelli is mentioned and in the brief clip below, Ru talks about how he almost got her and Elton John to guest on Drag Race this season. A shame they couldn’t make it, but hey, there’s always next year!
