Check out the first official photo of Andrew Garfield as Spiderman: dirty, defiant and the same texture as a basketball. Critics? Choice Movie Award nominee Garfield star will definitely be an actor to watch this year; we’re betting The Social Network star will be even bigger by the time the movie drops on July 3, 2012. Nothing says intimidating like a book bag slung over one shoulder, but as long as the new Spidey suit doesn’t come with built-in rubber nips ala Val Kilmer in Batman Forever, we’ll consider it a success!
Garfield definitely has the right amount of excitement when it came to playing his childhood hero. “It was all so very surreal ? definitely an overwhelming feeling of pure childhood joy.�Spider-Man was my favourite superhero. I guess I found him easiest to relate to. His struggle was profound, and I understood it,” Garfield explained. So what do you think?
